Body Sculpt of New York Inc. will be awarding Harris the “Commitment To Kids” award on Saturday, June 24 at their 14th annual Children and Sports Fitness Expo held at Public School 92 in Brooklyn, New York. The Long Island native has been more than generous with his time when it comes to mentoring younger generations. Back in March of 2015, the then-Orlando Magic forward brought home the NBA Cares Community Assist Award because he’s been so dedicated in mentoring at-risk-youth.
“For many children across America, athletes are their role models. Everyone from the basketball player who sinks numerous three-pointers to the female relay team that breaks world track records,” said Vincent Ferguson, the President and Founder of Body Sculpt of New York. “I can’t think of a more deserving athlete than Tobias Harris, who exemplifies the character, morals and professionalism that children can proudly emulate.”
