Unique Sports Management International (USMI) founded by Torrel Harris Sr. is celebrating 34 years in operation and will raise funds for youth going to college. USMI is pleased to announce its partnership with The Joseph Toles Foundation to award scholarships and honor local natives for their success on September 29th.

The event, which will include a dinner, live auction, and entertainment, will benefit students from Hempstead High School and Wyandanch High School. In addition, alumni from the New York City based “You Gotta Believe” foster care agency will receive scholarship funds. Honorees for the gala include:

Mrs. Risco Mention-Lewis, in 2012 she was appointed Suffolk County Deputy Police Commission and in 2015 due to her work in the community, she met with President Obama to discuss crime and intervention.
Mr. Ken “Spider” Webb; radio announcer and broadcaster that works with Sirus XM and currently hosts the “Soul Town” morning program. He hosted the morning show for eleven years as the popular radio personality for WBLS and WRKS in NYC in the 1970s through the 90s.
Mr. Daryl “Chill” Mitchell is an actor and a rapper; hip hop artist in the 80’s and later gained success as an actor. He is noted for House Party, Galaxy Quest, NCIS: New Orleans, and several others.
